Chief Operating Officer

From Lawrence, KS, Alexandra pursued a career path in merchandising, logistics and client service with Fortune 500 companies. She made her entrance into the signage and graphics industry because she loves focusing on complete client satisfaction. Alex appreciates that GrandMark Signs is all about putting clients first. She is passionate about family and loves spending time with her husband and her three children. Snow skiing, running and family time are her favorite pastimes. Her outgoing personality makes her a great part of the GrandMark team. Her favorite sign? “I love the graphics we do for ‘Walkin & Rollin’ because they benefit disabled children.

Joe Tindall

Founder and President

Originally from Fulton, New York, Joe served in the Navy prior to completing his MBA at Syracuse University. Joe’s career path has included marketing stints with Fortune 500 companies. He has also worked as co-owner of a kids marketing company. He got into the signage and graphics industry due to his love of the creative side of marketing and branding. Joe is passionate about his family, scuba diving, working out, riding his Harley and anything having to do with adventure. His favorite sign? “The HOLLYWOOD letters because they’re so iconic.”

Osvaldo Cortes

Lead Sign Maker

Originally from Jalisco, Mexico, Osvaldo moved to Long Beach, California with his family when he was 10 years old. Signage runs in his blood as his father is also a sign fabricator and taught him growing up, leading to him eventually working with his dad in the industry. Osvaldo has over 18 years experience working on a wide breath of signage and graphics. He is passionate about soccer and his family, including his wife and two children. His favorite sign? “Guitar Center in New York’s Time Square. I fabricated it, and it’s cool to know thousands of people see it every day.”

Julio Pedrueza

Lead Installer

Julio is originally from Chihuahua, Mexico and moved to Kansas in his 20s. He’s been in the sign industry for over 15 years and has installed signs as high as 100 feet off the ground. Julio enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and young grandchildren in his free time. His favorite sign? “Probably The Tension Envelope and Western Auto Signs because they’re iconic to Kansas City and have stood the test of time.”

Jaime Hawkins

Graphic Design & Print Production

A transplant from the east coast, Jaime moved to Kansas City in early 2022. She graduated with her bachelors in Graphic Design and Printmaking in 2016, transitioning into print production and the signage industry shortly thereafter. Being a hands-on creator and visual artist with an eye for design, she says this is the perfect combination of the two industries she loves. Even when not creating at work, she is usually drawing, designing, or screen printing. She also loves playing video games and Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. Her favorite sign? “Probably the sign for “The Chromatic Dragon”, a gaming cafe in which I made so many memories with friends while at SCAD. Curved wrought iron, hefty wood and their awesome 5 headed dragon logo!”

Scott Schieve

CNC & Specialty Equipment Operator

Although born in St. Mary’s, Ohio, Scott has spent most of his life in the Kansas City area. He’s been in the sign industry since 2015 and has worked with a vast array of technical commercial equipment. Growing up an avid sports player,  Scott played baseball for JCCC and was on a semi-pro team after college. These days he still loves sports, but enjoys them most when playing with his two sons. Scott loves spending time with his wife and kids and is also a die-hard Chiefs fan. His favorite sign? “Any that I have produced!”

Larr Whaley

Finishing Specialist

Born and raised in Leavenworth, KS, Larr has spent over 14 years in the sign industry. He has experience in doing everything from painting & fabricating to laying vinyl and installing large building signs. When he’s not in the shop he’s a competitive disc golf player, participating in tournaments on weekends. He’s also a big sports fan, naturally always rooting for the Chiefs and Royals. His favorite sign? “The Mayfair Cleaners sign. It’s one of the oldest neon signs in Kansas City!”
